Blue Christmas

about

Back when in 2012 in between touring fiercely with Lindsay Lou as a 'Flatbelly,' I got a phone call from a friend. They wanted a "country western version of a Chrismas song" for a sync license opportunity. So I snuck over to my buddy Dave Schall (master bassoonist and engineer)'s house and invited Tyler Duncan on keys (Vulfpeck, May Erlewine, My Dear Disco, The Ollam), Laith Al-Saadi on guitar (his stem at the end of the track is worth the listen alone!), Mike Shimmin on drums (The Ollam, Joshua Davis, Seth Bernard) and Flatbelly emeritus, Spencer Cain on bass to capture the ethereal magic that would become this instrumental version of Elvis' "Blue Christmas."
